Frequently Asked Questions:
Where do the sessions take place?
The sessions will occur outdoors using community spaces in West Seattle, such as parks (Lincoln Park and/or Fauntleroy Park) or playgrounds. We will discuss the location based on the child’s needs. We will be prepared to play in all kinds of weather!!!
How long are the sessions? And where do we meet?
Individual sessions are offered in a package of 10 sessions that provide your child with weekly 65-minute sessions. The last 10 minutes are dedicated to talking with parents about the sessions and answering any questions. At the end of the 10 sessions, we will discuss the child’s progress and the changes you have seen in your daily life to determine if additional sessions are necessary.
The meeting point will be decided during the intake process and/or after the first session.
Can parents/caregivers, as well as siblings, participate in the sessions?
During individual sessions, the team is composed of the child, the parent or caregiver, and the therapist. Siblings are welcome to attend if we both agree it benefits our sessions.
What is the process to start?
The first step is to book a discovery call to see if we are a good fit for each other. The second step will be to fill out the intake form and apply for the OT initial assessment if needed; if not, apply for the individual sessions.
What is the age range of children eligible to enroll at WildRoot?
AIl school age ranges from 3 years old to middle school, but I am flexible. We can talk more during the discovery call.
What are the fees?
Wildroot services are cash-based and do not accept insurance as payment. We can provide a superbill each month that you can submit to your heath insurance provider for reimbursement. Since each insurance provider is different, we highly recommend you reach out to your provider for additional information regarding reimbursement rates for out-of-network services.
